No matter what the season, there are some nights when you need the bittersweet of Averna combined with the bracing spice of Rye and the warmth of Allspice (Pimento) Dram. On those occasions, the Winter Waltz offers a whiskey-based spice bomb, of modern classic proportions.
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass.
