Made truly popular by the 1998 Coen Brothers film, The Big Lebowski, The White Russian is a simple, smooth mix of vodka, coffee liqueur and cream. So yes, it’s basically a Black Russian with Cream but nonetheless, a great sipping drink.
Fill a rocks glass with ice and add vodka and coffee liqueur, then gently pour the cream over the back of a barspoon on top

The White Russian was created by Belgian barman, Gustave Tops at the Hotel Metropole in Brussels in honour of Perle Mesta, then U.S. ambassador to Luxembourg in 1949.
