Beginning Of The End

Created in 2008 by Paul Mathew at The Hide in London, the Beginning Of The End is a riff on the classic Fin de Siècle except the gin is replaced with rum to create a balanced but complex bittersweet drink.

Ingredients

1.5 oz. 45ml Rum, Aged
0.5 oz. 15ml Vermouth, Sweet
0.4 oz. 12ml Amer Picon
0.4 oz. 12ml Sherry, Oloroso

Display: oz. ml.

Instructions

Flame an orange zest twist into an empty glass. to line the inside with smoky oil. Then stir all ingredients with ice and strain into the pre-prepared glass.
